From September 2024 to July 2025, I am participating in the Magnum Photos Documentary Program in Paris. My photo project, titled “In the Flow of Time: Life between Château d’Eau and Château Rouge,” focuses on capturing the rhythm of this neighbourhood through portraits and street photography, inspired by Magnum’s documentary tradition.
By the end of March, I will select 30 to 50 images that together tell a compelling story. My work will be reviewed by a jury in May 2025 and subsequently exhibited at the Magnum Gallery. This project is a personal, non-commercial endeavor dedicated to documenting the daily life that thrives between Château d’Eau and Château Rouge.

Macron, destitution!
On 21 September 2024, thousands of demonstrators gathered in Paris, between Place de la Bastille and Place de la Nation, to protest against President Macron’s policies. The main issue was the appointment of Michel Barnier, a centre-right politician, as Prime Minister. Protesters, many of whom were supporters of La France Insoumise and other left-wing parties, called for Macron’s removal and strongly criticised the conservative political orientation of the new government. Despite some heated slogans, the protest remained peaceful.

Saturday, the 15th. June 2024, more than 75,000 demonstrators, according to the police and 250,000, according to the CGT, demonstrated in Paris against the extreme right. I captured this photo at the Place de la Nation. It shows a pro-Palestinian demonstrator sitting on the Justice statue of the Triumph of the Republic monument, a monumental bronze sculpture by Jules Dalou.

I took the picture in Yaoundé, the capital of Cameroon. I photographed in public on the street, handheld, shooting from bottom to top to capture the soft morning light of the sky as background. I pressed the shutter when the model held this pose for a few seconds.
The portrait features a young man who participated in a school festival commemorating the "Traditional Day," held as part of Cameroon's National Youth Day celebrations on February 11, 2024.

Known as "Africa in miniature" due to its diverse culture and nature, Cameroon is a blend of all the continent's major cultural groups. With three of the five major African language familles (Peulh, Bantu, Kanuri) and over two hundred and fifty ethnic groups, it exhibits rich cultural diversity. Cameroon celebrates its traditions through periodic festivals, where reality and mythology merge, and every cultural expression tells a story.
