I have been fortunate to live and work in various parts of the world over the years — twelve years in Cameroon, five years in Malawi, and in between, in Germany, where I worked as a partnership manager for a Catholic religious community. These years have shaped me profoundly — through encounters with people, through cultural diversity, and through the everyday challenges of life. My view on the world and my photographic approach have been deeply influenced by these experiences. My time as a carpenter in Cameroon especially sharpened my eye for light, form, and structure — a grounded way of seeing that continues to define my photographic signature today. As a photographer, I aim to tell stories — close to people, honest, and with an open eye for what is happening around me.
I document projects, lived realities, and social issues — whether in the form of visual project documentation, photo essays, or editorial work. I am aware that documentary photography demands empathy, integrity, and a sense of responsibility. Photographing others comes with a particular responsibility — one that I approach with respect, care, and a deep awareness of the power of images. I work with individuals and organizations who seek to convey their message through authentic, meaningful, and trustworthy imagery. My goal is to make visible what is often overlooked — and in doing so, to create space for encounter, understanding, and change.
