This morning, the Stations of the Cross began traditionally at 6 a.m. at the parish church of St. Peter and Paul in Mfundi-a-si, and the route took Catholics with wooden cross and sound system along paths and one of the capital's busiest main roads leading the traffic to the western part of Cameroon. Good Friday is a public holiday in Cameroon, but today - unlike a few years ago - many stores are open despite this day of commemoration of the passion of Christ and people are early on their way to work. Interest in church is decreasing.
